From Dump Truck Dispatcher to Bulk Haul Software
Dump Truck Dispatcher started in 2013 as custom dispatching software for a large hauling company in Upstate South Carolina.
When we looked at what was available, nothing was made specifically for bulk hauling. Most trucking software was built for freight, or for construction more broadly. Some hauling companies were using a product out of the 80s, but most were running on pencil and paper. This other product was limited, difficult to use, and was not web-based. So we set out to write up-to-date, web-based software for the way hauling companies actually work.
From the start, we meant for other bulk hauling companies to use it too, so we built it around how hauling companies work in general rather than around that one company's workflows and processes.
The first version handled quotes, orders and dispatching. We've been adding to it ever since: digital tickets, invoicing, driver and subcontractor pay, customer and subcontractor portals, DOT compliance and truck maintenance. Along the way it came to fit haulers who move far more than dirt and gravel.
The old name no longer described what the software does or who it's for, so we renamed it Bulk Haul Software in Q3 2026 when we rewrote the user interface. It's the same company and the same product, in its next generation. Read why we changed the name.
One System for the Whole Hauling Office
It's all one application, so information entered in one place is available everywhere else on the platform.
Quotes and Orders
Build quotes and bids, then turn the accepted ones into scheduled orders without retyping them.
QuotingDispatching
Assign your trucks and subcontractor trucks on a color-coded schedule, get alerts when a dispatch goes unacknowledged, and dispatch by text to drivers who don't use the app.
DispatchingTickets and Invoicing
Drivers photograph tickets and the data is filled in for review. Verified tickets become invoices in batches, with fuel surcharges added automatically.
InvoicingDriver and Subcontractor Pay
Pay statements come from the same tickets you bill from, including prevailing wage rates.
Driver payDOT Compliance
Driver Qualification files, MVR reviews, drug and alcohol program tracking and truck registrations, with a warning before you dispatch anyone who isn't compliant.
DOT complianceMaintenance
Preventive maintenance, work orders and repair history, plus DVIRs from the driver app that send defects straight to maintenance.
MaintenanceCustomer and Subcontractor Portals
Customers see their own tickets, invoices and job status. Subcontractors get a self-service portal of their own.
Customer portalBuilt for Bulk Haulers
Bulk Haul Software started with dump trucks and now covers every kind of bulk hauling.
We Make Software. We Don't Haul.
We don't dispatch trucks for hire, broker loads or supply material, and we don't compete with our customers for hauling work. If you're looking for a truck, a load or a dispatcher, we're not the right call. If you run a hauling company and want better software, we'd like to talk.

The best thing about Dump Truck Dispatcher is how user friendly the system is. If you have a question, the support staff is just a phone call away.
From an office manager’s point of view, the invoices are being sent out daily now instead of weekly.

It was nice to be able to get somebody up and running within two days on the system where it took us two weeks before.
That's a huge thing for us.

We have customers using the portal and they LOVE it because they have easy access to their information.
