Release 2.9.27.32

Overview

This release has minor changes to dispatching, tax, and invoices, and includes a couple of customer requests.

Dispatching

For tenants using the Driver App, we removed the option to “Always send dispatching messages(SMS). This is a safety hazard. If the drivers are using the native driver apps (not the web-based one- PWA) and are logged in, they’ll get the notification and the dispatch in the native driver app. The native app also supports messaging. If you aren’t using the native driver app, you might consider using it.

The native driver app has more functionality and will be the focus of future development efforts related to the driver app.

We changed the behavior of the dialog you see when individual jobs are dispatched. If a job has a “Time on Job” specified, you will always see the “Dispatch based on time on job” checkbox. If it is checked, then the dispatch will be added based on where its time on job falls with respect to the other jobs for the driver. Otherwise, the job gets added to the end. Another difference is that if some jobs have times and some do not, the ones without times will be put at the end of the list if “Dispatch based on time on job” is checked.

Tax

Previously, we did not change the controls displayed when you changed the customer on an order from a tax-exempt to a different customer that wasn’t tax-exempt. The system will now show the controls based on the new customer with the changed tax exemption status.

We hid the tax-related controls on several screens when the “Tax calculation type” is set to “No tax calculation.”

Invoices

In the previous release, we added the ability to track invoice payments. In this release, we have added the balance to the invoices, so that these payments are taken into account.

Miscellaneous

Migrated to the new Managed Azure Redis Cache.

Added support for new Trux import columns. If you use the Trux import, you won’t need to delete the columns they added a few weeks ago.

Changed the label “Delivery Date” to “Requested Delivery Date” on orders so that customers seeing an order don’t automatically assume the “Order Date” means it is committed to that date. Now that we are adding the ability to take COD orders that aren’t scheduled until an online payment is made, this distinction becomes more important.

Previously, out-of-service trucks could not be added to a maintenance work order. That logic was updated to allow trucks in any status to be added to a maintenance work order.
